Sizing
 

For all clothing:

A Length

Place the end of the tape beside the collar at the top of the tee (Highest Point Shoulder). Pull the tape measure to the bottom of the shirt.

B Chest

Measure yourself around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure horizontal.

As our hats are adjustable, they should fit most head sizes.  If you normally however have difficulty buying hats due to the size/shape of your head, we'd advise against purchasing one in case it's not quite right

Garment Care

Our garments are made of high quality material, that has been tried, tested, and the quality positively reviewed thousands of times.  Whilst unfortunatley all clothing can look a little tired after a while, to make sure yours looks as good as new for as long as possible, please follow the below guidelines.  Remember that printed t-shirts require some special care due to how they are made.

  • Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners.

  • Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life.

  • Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration.

  • Do not dry clean.

 
Stock

As  we do not manufacture the garments ourselves, stock is dictated by Printful, the third party printing and fulfilment company we use for all our products.  

 

Sizes and colours are shown as stocked for printing.  If a colour or size is not shown it is unlikely to become immediately available, but the selection will become selectable should it become so.  As guidance we would recommend selecting another colour rather than wait, as the length of time you could be waiting is unpredictable.  There is a particular lack of size XS which unfortunately does not appear to be being updated regularly.

 
Payment

For your safety and security the peration and management of all payments is through Stripe and Paypal.

 

If your card is authorised, payment will be taken immediately, and you will receive an email confirming that your order has been successful.  Please ensure your email is entered correctly at checkout.

If your card is not authorised, payment will not be taken, and we'll email to let you know your bank or card issuer wouldn't authorise the payment.

Please remember that even if a payment isn't authorised, it may look like we have still taken the money as some card issuers may still reserve the money, for a short period of time.

 
Shipping

Please select your correct shipping country and region to help with delivering your product

 

Timings:

 

Approximate timings for delivery are:

  • United Kingdom:  2-5 days

  • United States of America:  3-4 days

  • Canada:  6-10 days

  • Europe:  3-8 days

  • Worldwide:  6-14 days

 

This is because each item is printed specifically for you once you’ve ordered it.  

 

Unfortunately items cannot be shipped to Cuba, Iran, Crimea, Syria, and North Korea.  For exact shipping timings you can find your country here 

 
Missing Items

If you have ordered multiple items, they may have been shipped separately.  Each item being made to order can mean they have been shipped at different times and one may arrive slightly later than another.  Please check your email to indicate if you have multiple packages being delivered.

 

Feel free to contact us if you believe your package has not been delivered and we can try and investigate.  If you have been given a tracking code in your country, the quickest solution will be to start with the delivery company directly. 

 

Please note however we will not be able to do anything until after the estimated delivery time has expired.  See the Shipping section for more information on delivery times in your country.

 
Returns

As soon as you click the buy button, we purchase each base garment specifically for your order. This is to be more sustainable and avoid unsold bulk bought items going to waste. As every item is then printed individually for you, it can’t then be resold. Because of this we unfortunately can’t accept returns. As such please do not buy multiple sizes with the intention of returning one, as we don’t want you to be disappointed.

 

If however you get the wrong size, we’re happy to offer one exchange to another size for you. Please be aware that because of the amount we have to pay for each item, we make a loss every time we do an exchange. We’re happy to do this however as we ultimately want you to be happy with your purchase, and to have more positive LGBTQ+ messages out in the world.

 

If there has been a fault with the printing or manufacturing of the product please email and let us know and we can arrange a replacement with the printing company Printful.  Do not simply return the product as this can cause issues and a replacement may not be able to be sent.  Please contact us within 2 weeks of receiving the item and  include your order number and clear photos that show the manufacturing issue.

 
Exchanges

As mentioned above, as we have to pay for every item purchased (and can’t resell returned items), each exchange means we have to sell 2-3 items to make up the cost we incur.  We don’t want that and I’m sure you don’t want that for us either.  

 

We do however value you as a customer, so are happy to provide one exchange for you to a different size.  We’d rather have your loyalty, happiness and positive messages out there for the LGBTQ+ community, even if it costs us a little.  As such please contact us within 4 weeks of receiving the item with your order number, the item, and the new size you would like.  Once we confirm an exchange is acceptable we shall send you the address to return your item to and we shall send out a new item in your requested size.  This must be for the same item of a different size.  Do not order multiple sizes of one item as you will not be able to exchange one for another.

 
How Your Garment Is Made

As soon as you click buy, we purchase each item individually ready for printing. Every item is then printed by someone specifically for you using the Direct to Garment (DTG) printing method.

With DTG, the ink is sprayed directly onto the garment, soaking into the fibres of the item. It’s a bit like printing on paper, except on clothing. This produces a smoother finish and allows for more intricate designs than some other methods such as screen printing.

As each item is item is stretched and printed on a printing machine by hand, there can be minor nuances to the design as it comes off the press.  Items are quality checked before sending, however if you consider there to be a major defect with your item please let us know and we can arrange a replacement. 

 

Because the ink is injected directly into the fibres, the designs may come out slightly darker than the digital images on your screen.  This is because your screen creates colours through lights whilst your actual design is created by a matte ink.  Also if your design is printed onto a dark coloured t-shirt it will naturally darken the colour of the print slightly.  This won't have any significant impact on the look of your t-shirt and we've checked to make sure they all look great!

 
Sustainability

Here at The Age Gap Guys we are conscious of climate change and the impact. As such we’ve taken the below measures to minimise the carbon footprint of each purchase:

- Use a printing company Kornit (via Printful) whose printers produce almost zero wastewater and use less energy, lowering the carbon footprint of your purchase.

- Printing to order as opposed to bulk printing. This avoids unsold items going to waste.

- Reducing packaging for each order. Your product may not come in the prettiest of boxes with loads of bubblewrap, however whilst these things are nice, they ultimately are creating large amounts of harmful waste. We want to reduce the waste we create so have cut this out.

How We Make Money
 

We apologise for the shipping costs on top of the product cost.  We’ve tried to keep costs down as much as possible, but being just 2 people here, we’re at the mercy of much bigger companies for operation and delivery right now.  

 

We wanted to be transparent with you on where your money goes:

 

For a £17.99 t-shirt:

 

  • Cost of t-shirt and printing:  £10

  • Marketing Costs:  Average £3.50 per Facebook ad click (not sale)

 

Shipping we’re charged

  •  £3.15 - £5.38 (first item, price depending on country)

  • £0.85 - £1.00 (each item afterwards)

 

Money to us:  £2.66 - £4.97 per t-shirt.

 

So as you can see we’re not making much money on each t-shirt, and are even making a loss on the shipping costs to try and keep them reasonable.  We’re doing this primarily to help visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, and to have a bit of fun with you.

Data and Privacy
 

Unless permission is given explicitly, no information is held by us except for the purposes of locating and processing an order.  Any data gathered on site usage through Facebook, Google Analytics and Wix and is anonymous and has no personally identifiable information.  We may use this data for marketing, however only if you have opted in to allow this.  If you signed up to receive information and offers we will retain your email, however you can unsubscribe through any email received and you shall be automatically removed from any marketing emails. 

 

To the best of our knowledge no information is retained by Wix (website platform), Printful (product printer and shipment fulfilment) or third party payment (Stripe and Paypal) company.  Should you have any concerns please let us know and we can investigate.
